Fanny Fern Dodge, 89, of St. George, Utah, died Thursday, October 8, 1981 at her residence after an extended illness.
She was born November 29, 1891 in Orangeville, Utah to Florilla Ann Curtis and John Charles Fullmer. She married William Wells Cheney, October 4, 1911 in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. He died in January 1942. She married Guy Ashley Dodge, June 2, 1962 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. He died in May 1971.
As an active member of the LDS Church she has been involved in the Primary, Ward Choir, and Relief Society. She grew up in Rigby, Idaho, moved to Idaho Falls, Idaho in 1956, before coming to St. George in 1971. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and enjoyed gardening and music.
Survivors include four daughters: Mrs. Melvin (Mona Fern) Bell of Sutter, California; Mrs. Doris Merle Rowe of Woodburn, Oregon; Elnora Cheney of St. George, Utah; Mrs. Connie Rae Dunsmoor of Las Vegas, Nevada; 21 grandchildren; 61 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Fremont Fullmer of Rexburg, Idaho; Loren Lynn Fullmer of Livingston, California; and one sister, Sadie Johnston of Los Angeles, California;
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 13, 1981 at 1:00 p.m. in the Eckersell Mortuary Chapel in Rigby, Idaho.
