She was a school teacher in Saskatchewan, teaching at multi-grade schools from 1933-1946.
On February 16, 1946, Mary married Steve Windjack in Estevan. She has resided in Flin Flon since 1946, where she retired.
Mary enjoyed bridge, needle craft, baking and back seat driving and was a member of the Rebekah Lodge #56 and Eastern Star.
Mary was predeceased by her husband Steve and both parents. She is survived by her son John, sister Dorothy, grandchildren Stephen, Andrew, Elisabeth (Mike) and Rachel, and great grandchildren Lydia and Joseph.
