In the 1910 census, Daniel and his 2nd wife Cora were living in Alliance, Lexington Township, Stark County, Ohio. He was listed as 69 and born in Ohio, Cora was 70 and born in Ohio

Daniel Culler was a son of David and Anna Culler. He was born in Washington Township May 17, 1844, making his age 75 years and 9 months. He was married to Miss Lavina Auer, who died many years ago. To them were born two daughters and one son, the daughters surviving. They are Mrs. Hiram Stuckey, of Louisville, Ohio, and Mrs. Homer Ellett, of Akron, Ohio. His second marriage was to Mrs. Cora Leader Oswait, who died last spring. The following sisters and brothers are also living: Aaron Culler, of Idaho; David J. Culler, of Weilersville, Ohio; John Culler, Mrs John Eckert, Henry Culler, Noah Culler and Mrs. Charles Knepper, of Louisville, Ohio; Samuel and Jacob Culler, of Goshen, Indiana; Mrs Lydia Slusser, Jesse and Edwin Culler, of Colorado; Mrs. George F. Chenot, of Tiffin, Ohio.
Mr. Culler for many years resided in the vicinity of Louisville, later locating in Alliance, Ohio. He was a most estimable citizen and his friends were many. Funeral services were held at the Reformed church, Thursday morning, and were conducted by Rev. Hoffman. Mr. Culler had been a faithful member of that church for many years before his removal to Alliance and again united after his return to Louisville last summer. Interment was made in the Union Cemetery.

The word "apoplexy" comes from the Greek "apoplexia" meaning a seizure, in the sense of being struck down. In Greek "plexe" is "a stroke." The ancients believed that someone suffering a stroke (or any sudden incapacity) had been struck down by the gods.
