Jane Woolfolk Smith Jordon, age 80, passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2015, at her residence.
She was born on September 23, 1934 in Brandenburg, KY, the daughter of Edwin Hodge Woolfolk and Dorothy Gregory Woolfolk.
She was a graduate of Meade Co. High School and retired from the Meade Co Health Department. Jane was a Christian and a member of Buck Grove Baptist Church for 59 years having been baptized at a young age at Phillips Memorial Baptist Church, Brandenburg, KY. She lived her entire life in Meade County.
Jane was proceeded in death by her first husband, Robert Bewley Smith; a daughter, Lisa Jordon Proctor; a brother, Dr. Patch G. Woolfolk (Miriam); niece, Lesley Woolfolk.
Jane is survived by her husband, Kenneth Jordon; son, Robert B. Smith, Franklin, KY; daughter, Carol (Michael) Edwards Cottontown, TN; son-in-law, Terry Proctor, Bowling Green, KY; sister, Ann Woolfolk (John) English, Brandenburg, KY; sister-in-laws, Miriam Woolfolk – Lexington, KY and Maggie Jordon – Brandenburg, KY; 2 grandchildren, Tyler (Maggie) Proctor – Whitehouse, TN; and Taylor Proctor – Bowling Green, KY, 4 nieces and 3 nephews.
Visitation will be held Friday, June 5, 2015 from 3:30 – 8 P.M. EDT from the Chapel of Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home and Saturday, June 6, from 10 – 11 A.M. at Buck Grove Baptist Church, 255 Buck Grove Road, Ekron, KY.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 6 at 11 A.M. at Buck Grove Baptist Church with burial to follow in Buck Grove Cemetery.
