Wanda Marie Reese Poe was born to Gaston Dewey and Cora Margaret Case Reese in Bracken County Kentucky. She went to be with the angels in heaven joining the choir that carried her away the morning she passed at her home in Brooksville, Kentucky May 20th 1998. She left this life surrounded by her children, looking at a beautiful sunrise listening to a band of angels calling her home. Her battle with cancer, and the surgery was over.
Mom was a life long member of the assembly of God church in Brooksville, Kentucky. She was a farmers wife and mother for most of her life. She married Jimmie Allen Poe March 24, 1951 in Bracken County, Kentucky. Jimmie passed in 1979 and Wanda moved to Indianapolis to be closer to her children. Several years later she moved back to Brooksville,Kentucky. Mom loved the outdoors and was always planting flowers and enjoying the blossoms. She was devoted to her grand children, and Christ she'll be missed by all that knew her.
Wanda is survived by her children, Donna Sue Poe Hawkins, Cathy Jo Poe Fogle Wall, Linda Jean Poe Galloway Wakeley, and Timothy Allen Poe. 2 sisters Rosemary Reese Hamilton, Phyllis Reese Abercrombie, 1 brother Charles Dewey Reese. 8 grand children Kimberly Hawkins, Roy II Hawkins, Daniel Fogle, Jessica Fogle, Jeremy Galloway, Natasha Galloway, Christopher Poe, Allysia Poe. Mother-in-law Anna Poe, sister-in-law Norma Jean Poe Curtis Johnson. She is preceded in death by her husband Jimmie Poe, 1 grandson James Corey Galloway, her father Gaston Dewey Reese, mother Cora Margaret Case Reese, 2 sisters Ruby Reese, Ruth Ann Reese, 2 brothers Clarence Reese, Gaston Dewey Reese Jr. Grandparents, Augustus and Estelle Conrad Reese , Pearl and Ida Mae Wilson Case.
