Nelson Bell, 88 of Columbia, passed away Saturday morning at The Bluffs.

A visitation will be held June 2, 2015 at 1pm at Parker Funeral Service. The funeral service will be at 2pm at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Nelson was born September 30, 1926 to John and Winnie Bell in Columbia, MO. He married Anna Felber in 1946, and spent his life living and working in Columbia.

Nelson served his country for four in the United States Air force, even spending one year overseas in Japan during the Korean War. He worked very hard as the superintendant of the University of Missouri Power Plant, and in his spare time would enjoy hunting and fishing. Nelson and Anna have been members of the Parkade Baptist Church for many years.

Nelson is survived by his wife, Anna; brother David Bell; sisters Anita Semon and Marianna Langwell; Daughter Joann Drane and Husband Eddie Jenkins of Columbia; granddaughter Johanna Drane and husband Jason; and great grandchildren Jordyn and Jaxon.

He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and one sister.
