His parents were unable to locate where he was buried. He died in Holly Springs, just 55 miles from Batesville. Possibly the June 9th date on his grave marker was the date his family learned of his death.

Gravesite Details

The Spencer obelisk is a monument for eight people, two per side. Its top has broken off and was lying on the nearby grave of Mary Frances (Spencer) Drane on 10/29/2003. The monument needs cleaning.
