John, youngest son of Andrew and Minnie Grubb, was a Bedford County farmer who later worked for the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission. In 1931 he married Cleo Alverna Baker and they had two children before her death. He remarried in 1939 to Rita Elizabeth Horton and they had three children.

Mr. Grubb, 83, of New Enterprise RD died at 9:55 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 29, 1992, at home following a brief illness. Mr. Grubb retired as a toll collector for the Pennsylvania Turnpike.
He was born Dec. 25, 1909, in New Enterprise RD, the son of Andrew and Minnie (Guyer) Grubb. He was twice married, first to Cleo A. Baker on Feb. 4, 1931. She died July 10, 1938. Then he married Rita E. Horton on Oct. 4, 1939, in Woodbury. Surviving are his wife, four children; 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister, Vera Cessna of New Oxford. Mr. Grubb was a member of Everett Church of God.
