According to his obit which appeared Thursday, July 17, 1890 Paper: New Haven Register (New Haven, Connecticut), Mr. Beecher was the son of Captain Benjamin Beecher, and one of 14 children born to that family. He was employed as a cabinet maker and later in the express business and grocery business. He was survived by his wife (the former Miss Yale,) children: Theodore, Maria and Flora Beecher of New Haven, Charles of Vermont, and Clarence and Ferdinand of New York City, and his sisters Mary (Ferdinand) Crosswell and Julia Beecher of New York.
