John James Snyder of Tyrone RD 2 died Thursday at 12:20 p.m. in the Presbyterian University Hospital, Pittsburgh where he had been a patient for two weeks.

Born March 3, 1882, in State College, he was the son of John F. and Valaria Hoy Snyder. In March of 1903 he was married to Anne K. Rossman, who survives with these children;

Mrs. Dena Reader, Miss Isabel Snyder and Elwood "Chink" Snyder, all of Tyrone; Mrs. Hazel Nelson, Huntingdon; Albert, Orchard Park, N.Y., and Clair, of Camp Hill.

Also surviving are 11 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

He was of the Lutheran faith and had been employed as a crane operator for the Pennsylvania Railroad for 24 years, before retiring in 1947.

Funeral services will be held at the Feller Memorial Home, Tyrone, on Monday at 2 p.m. with Pastor Raymond J. Wieder and Rev. Wesley Myers officiating.

Burial will be in Blair Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and until time of services on Monday.
