Isabelle "Chris" Wile, 96, formerly of River Vale, New Jersey, passed away May 29, 2015 at Villa St. Francis. Visitation will be 10 to 11a.m. Friday, June 5, at Cure of Ars Church with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11 a.m. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery in Lenexa, Kan. Chris was born June 21, 1918, in East Stroudsburg, Pan., to Josephine and Frank Eilenberger. She was blessed with a beautiful voice. After high school, Chris had a brief career as a singer, and appeared on Broadway in several plays. She also sang professionally in Hollywood and Las Vegas. Chris was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Michael Wile; son, Mark S. Wile; and daughter-in- law, Sarah Wile. She is lovingly remembered by her surviving family, daughter, Chris Lander (Kenneth), grandchildren, Julie Lynn (T.J.), David Halverson (Lori Steiner), Jordan Wile, and Justine Wile; and great granddaughters, Megan, Molly, Emily, Josephine, and Allison Lynn. The memories of our time with Chris will be dearly cherished by her family. Her cheerful, vibrant personality and loving spirit will be missed by all who knew her. The family wishes to express their deep appreciation to Villa St. Francis, Catholic Community Hospice, and Santa Marta for their compassionate care.
