Faye was born in Humeston, Iowa, to Morley and Lillie Beakler on March 31, 1925. After graduating from Humeston High School in 1944, Faye moved to Des Moines where she was employed at the Veterans Administration Hospital.
While living in Des Moines, she met her future husband, Charles Caffrey. After their marriage in 1946, they resided in Pleasantville (IA) and Ottumwa (IA) before settling in Ankeny (IA) for the past 57 years.
While raising five children, Faye was also employed in the communications area with the Iowa Attorney General's Office. After retiring, Faye spent much of her time with her family and volunteering at Our Lady's Immaculate Heart Church and the Sunnyview Care Center in Ankeny. Faye also enjoyed traveling with her husband and with her friends.
Faye was preceded in death by her parents, Morley and Lillie Beakler, twin brother Floyd, brother Eugene, husband Charles, son David, son Douglas, and infant grandson Joseph Caffrey.
