FORT WALTON BEACH, Fla. — Marguerite Elizabeth Ellen Ragsdale Crouch Bowman, 87, passed away Friday, July 15, 2005.

Memorial service: was held July 23 at McLaughlin Mortuary in Fort Walton Beach, Fla.

Marguerite was born Feb. 16, 1918, in Roanoke. As a longtime resident of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., she was an avid gardener and animal lover. She was an accomplished haridresser, an active garden club member and a master at ceramics and macrame. She will be missed and fondly remembered by family and friends for her love of life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jimma Belle Strickland and Olin Baxter Ragsdale; sisters, Pauline Ragsdale Boutwell and Mabel Ragsdale Clyce; brothers, John Henry Ragsdale and Olin Ragsdale; and granddaughter, Lessa Crouch Click.

Survivors: Husband, retired Lt. Col. Joe Bowman Sr. of Birmingham, Ala.; brother, Jimmy Ragsdale of Shelby, Mont.; sons, Robert Crouch Jr. of Dublin, Jack Baxter Crouch of Mineral Wells and Joseph Bowman of Birmingham, Ala.; granddaughters, Jana Crouch of Stephenville, Shana Crouch of Benbrook, Julie Crouch of Dallas, Dorie Crouch Tucker of Fort Worth and Christie Crouch of Dublin; and great-grandson, Tyson Click of Stephenville.
