Florence N. Baldwin, 100, of Danville, passed away on June 1, 2015 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.

She was born Jan. 26, 1915 in Armstrong, the daughter of William and Eunice (Wood) Jackson. She married Don A. Baldwin in 1938 in Urbana. He preceded her in death in 2009. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one son, Alan Baldwin and six siblings, Glen, John, Art, Don, James and Mary.

Florence will be deeply missed by one daughter, Sandy (Wayne) Scarlett; five grandchildren, Kevin (Laura) Mitchell, Kirk (Becky) Mitchell, Kristi (Troy) Kirby, Jason (Kathryn) Scarlett and Jeremy (Debby) Scarlett and 10 great-grandchildren.

Florence graduated from St. Elizabeth’s School of Nursing in 1938 and then stayed home to raise her family. In 1961, she went back to work at various nursing homes until she retired in 1975. She was a member of Indianola Methodist Church.
