Ronald Reed Southall, 73, of Elizabethtown, died Monday, June 1, 2015 at Hardin Memorial Hospital. He was a native of Ripley, West Virginia. He retired after 27 years from the United States Army as a SGM. He was the former 4th district wildlife commissioner under Governer Beshear Association. He was a member of Quail's Unlimited in Harden Co. and the Draft Horse Assembly. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Cora Southall. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Monika Southall of Elizabethtown; two daughters, Elisabeth Ann (Tim) Miller of Frankfort, Ky, Caroll (Gerry) Perkins of Elizabethtown; 4 grandchildren, Nicole Hodges of Waddy, Ky, Alex Perkins of Louisville, Jonathon Hodges of Lexington, Erin Perkins of Elizabethtown; and one great grandchild, Ryleigh Temple of Waddy, Ky. The Funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Brown Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Ky Veterans Cemetery.
