Friends of Harry Smith will be sorry to learn of his serious illness. Mr. Smith, the youngest son of the late Mr. and Mrs. J. K. Smith, pioneers of this community, is a brother of George A. Smith of Fountain. He has been confined to a hospital in Grand Rapids for some time.

FREESOIL WOMAN'S BROTHER EXPIRES
Freesoil - Harry Smith, 59, of 2037 St. Charles avenue in Grand Rapids died Wednesday following a few days' illness. Survivors include his widow, Bessie, three sisters, Mrs. Lottie Tubbs of Freesoil, who was in Grand Rapids at the time of her brother's death; Mrs. Olive Biege of LaPorte, Ind., Mrs. Cora Hansen of Detroit; two brothers, George of Fountain and Robert A. of Alliance, O., and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were to be held this afternoon from Sullivan funeral home with burial in Wyoming township cemetery.

ATTEND FUNERAL FOR MR. SMITH
Fountain - Sympathy of the community is extended to George A. Smith and other members of the family in the death of their brother Harry Smith who died May 28 after a short illness. Mr. and Mrs. Smith were well known here for many years before moving to Grand Rapids. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon from the Sullivan funeral home with burial in Wyoming township cemetery. Those attending from Fountain were Mr. and Mrs. George Smith, Mrs. Theodore Englebrecht, Mrs. James Sterling, Richard Smith and Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Koziel.
