Graveside services for Hattie L.
Cochran, 93, of Lafayette, were
April 2 at the IOOF Cemetery,
Delphi. She died March 31, 1991,
in St. Elizabeth Hospital Medical
Center.
Born March 10, 1898, in Burkesville,
Ky., she was eduated in Kentucky
and moved to Brookston in
1917. She lived in Delphi from
1920 until moving to Lafayette in
1929.
She worked as a seamstress for
35 years, 19 of them at Loeb’
Department Store. She retired in
1970.
Her marriage was on July 3,
1954, in Otterbein, to Harold C.
Cochran, who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters,
Donna Jo Erwin of Riley and Mary
Lou Brann of Lafayette; three sons,
William Cochran of Conroe,
Texas; David Cochran of
Lafayette; and James Arthur
Cochran of Anchorage, Alaska; 12
grandchildren; several great grandchildren;
and two great-great-grandchildren. Three
children and three brothers preceded her in
death.
