Isaiah Hithcox married Sarah Ann Walker on December 7, 1836 in Troup County, Georgia. Their first Alabama-born child was Nancy A. A. Hithcox, born in 1852. In the 1860's the family lived in Notasulga, Tallapoosa County, Alabama, and by 1880 they were living in Trout Creek (Ragland), Alabama. In 1900 Isaiah was living in Greensport with his daughter Nancy and her son, Walter.

The grandson, Walter, passed along some information to his children. One item is that his grandfather died when Walter was about 10-12 years old, and they carried him over the mountain to Griffin Cemetery for burial. That would mean Isaiah died between 1900-1902, roughly. His wife Sarah Ann died between 1880-1900, most likely in St. Clair County, Alabama, but the family doesn't know her burial location.

By Murder, Accident, and Natural Causes, by Joseph L. Whitten, page 99 -
"Mar. 6, 1902, Springville Item: Partlow. Died Mr. Isah Haithcock last Friday night. He fought in the Indian Wars and for his services drew a pension of $96 yearly. He was over ninety years old."

Grandson Walter also said the Hithcox family lived in the Greensport area, on what they called "Hithcox Mountain". There was a lot of cotton farming going on in the area.
