Funeral services for Mr. Horace Junior Espy, age 67 of Ferris, TX, will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at Manchester Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Horace Lee Jacobs officiating. Burial will follow in Gilley Hill Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home. Mr. Espy passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2011 at Methodist Hospital in Dallas, TX.
Mr. Espy was born in Coffee County, TN, the son of the late William Horace and Iva Jane Shelton Espy. He was a self-employed printer and also a mechanic. He loved life and his family and was a very generous person.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Espy was also preceded in death by three brothers, Edgar Eugene Lewis, Hoyte Elvin Espy, and William Ray Espy; three sisters, Betty Croft, Edna Imogene Lewis, and Della Faye Gulick. He is survived by one son, Ron K. Espy of Ferris, TX; three daughters, Rhonda Sterbenz, Gina (Dale) Smartt, and Kelly Brown, all of Manchester; four brothers, Wayne (Susie) Espy, Ed Lewis, Leroy (Nancy) Espy and Eddy (Helen) Espy; three sisters, Carolyn (Horace Lee) Jacobs, Patricia McDonald, and Elaine (Gary) Lambert; three grandchildren, Nathan Sterbenz, Shayla Sterbenz, and Cameron Espy; and one step grandson, Jimmy McCommas.
