Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 20, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Davenport. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery, Davenport, Iowa.
Gustav Arp was born June 27, 1886, in Scott County, the son of Johannes and Emelie (Puck) Arp. He married Anna Ehlmann on January 21, 1914 in Davenport. They farmed in Scott and Muscatine counties, until they retired to Davenport. Anna died in 1957.
Surviving are two daughters, Mildred (Carl) Lafrenz of Davenport and Viola (Clifford) Yakley of Davenport; one son, Edwin Arp of Davenport; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and one brother.
