Mrs. Lottie Lorene "Shorty" Daniel, 99, of Corsicana, passed away on Friday, May 29, 2015 at Heritage Oaks Retirement Village in Corsicana. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday, May 31, 2015, at Corley Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, June 1, 2015, at the Corley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jeff White officiating. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park.

Lottie was born in Navarro, Texas, to the late Ollie Churchworth Barron and Ludie Vista (Massey) Barron. She had a great love for her Lord, and was the oldest living member of Memorial Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for many years. Lottie was the oldest member of her family. She was a homemaker, and enjoyed volunteering at school with the band and PTA organizations.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Irvin B. Daniel, Sr.; brothers: Euyless, Calvin, Clifton, Harold, and Harvey Barron; sisters: Theresa Spencer, Fayrene Denson, and Dorothy Jean Lawyer.

Survivors include her son, Irvin B. Daniel, Jr. and wife, Elma, of Garland; daughter, Sue Reed and husband, Lary, of Corsicana; granddaughters, Barbara Cantrell and husband, Paul, of Waco, and Vickie Sawyers; grandsons, Dan Reed and wife, Trudy, of Houston, and Scot Reed and wife, Shelly, of Mansfield; great-grandsons: Collin Reed, of St. George, UT, Andrew Cantrell, of Waco, Jordan Reed, of Lake Charles, LA, Thomas Reed, of Dallas, Cory Reed, of Mansfield, and Luke Sawyers, of Garland; great-granddaughter, Courtney Reed of Mansfield; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
