Funeral services for Janie King Dominy, age 62, of Gallatin, are scheduled for 2:00 pm Monday, June 1, 2015 at Autry Funeral Home Chapel in Jacksonville with Rev. Don Copeland officiating. Interment will be at Salem Cemetery in Rusk.
Mrs. Dominy passed away Thursday May 28, 2015 at her home in Gallatin.
She was born May 8, 1953 in Rusk to Ernest and Mary King.
Janie had a green thumb, loved cooking, doing arts and crafts, sewing, fishing and pitching washers. Her lifelong fulfillment was that she loved her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Peggy Gunderson, Ernestine Hope, Teresa King; father-in-law and mother-in-law Albert and Laveta Dominy; daughter-in-law Maria Garner; grandchildren Destiny Garner and Dakota Garner.
Survivors include her husband of 29 years Mike Dominy of Gallatin; sons Michael Dominy, Jr. of Maydelle, Glen Garner of Rusk; daughters Michelle Hall and husband Stephen of Rusk, Lisa Brooks of Rusk; sisters Judy Powers and husband Marvin of Rusk, Tommie Smith and husband Boyd of Ennis; brothers-in-law Earl Dominy and wife Brenda of Rusk, Duane Dominy and wife Diane of Jacksonville, Joe Dominy and wife LouAnn of Tyler; sister-in-law Earline Fox and husband Jesse of Rusk; grandchildren Jennifer DeVries and husband Brian, Lonnie Jones and wife Ashley, Drew Dorsey, Steven Dorsey, Deserea Garner, Emilee Garner, Maddison Garner, Justin Brooks, Kenny Brooks, Taylor Brooks, Brandon Brooks, A.J.
