Dolores Little, 81, of Shelbyville, weighed anchor and left port for her ultimate heavenly harbor with her God and Father on May 27, 2015.

Dolores was born in Augustana Hospital, Chicago, Illinois on August 16, 1933, the daughter of Fritz and Vera (Guse) Bahns of Elmwood Park, Illinois. She married Howard W. Gundlach, June 22, 1952, in Elmwood Park, Illinois. He passed away September 18, 1982. Dolores was employed at Burks Pumps, Decatur, Illinois for 40 years. She married Raymond E. Little, January 7, 1993 in Decatur, Illinois.

She was a member Wesley Chapel Methodist Church, Shelbyville, Illinois, and a 50 year member of the Decatur Chapter # 111 OES and a member of the Daughsis Club (Daughters and Sisters of Master Masons). She was a member of the Decatur Power Squadron and the Decatur Power Squadron Auxiliary. Dolores had a love for the water which came natural from her dad. She enjoyed cruising lakes and rivers and a special cruise up the Illinois River to Sag Canal to Chicago, on to Benton Harbor, Michigan, to Mackanac Island and back in a 25 foot cruiser. Her houseboat was at Lithia Springs Mariana, Shelbyville, Illinois for many years.

Surviving are her husband, Ray, step-sons, Tom (Mary) Little of Decatur, Illinois; David (Brenda) Little of Moweaqua, Illinois. Step-grandchildren, Chris (Jamie) Little of Naperville, Illinois; Michael Little of Chicago; Allison (Alan) Dull of Chicago; Brittany (Caleb) Dunn of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Stephanie Little of Moweaqua, Illinois. Sisters, Elaine (Lee) Freitag of Bensonville, Illinois; Lenore (Henry) Meyer of Oak Lawn, Illinois. Nieces, Cindy (Jay) Snyder of Bensonville, Illinois; Lorene (Kenneth) Buerger of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; nephew, Ronald (Dorothy) Freitag of Rowlett, Texas. Great nieces, Jennifer and Heather Snyder. Great nephews, Bradley Snyder, Jason Snyder, Cory Freitag, Cody Freitag and Zachary Buerger.

She was preceded in death by her father, mother, husband, Howard, step-grandson, Matthew Little and sister-in-law Mary Ann O’Brien.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday in the Lockart-Green Funeral Home, Shelbyville with Pastor Linda Trent and Pastor Wade Helmkamp officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Burial will be held later at Mt. Emblem Cemetery, Elmhurst, Illinois. Memorials may be made to the Shriners’ Children’s Hospital, Chicago.
