A. Virginia Spencer, 93, of Lewisburg, OH, died, Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at her residence. Virginia was born on January 5, 1924 in Owingville, Kentucky, daughter of the late Thomas and Martha Ellen (Crouch) Horseman. Virginia was a 1942 graduate of Owingville High School and following graduation moved to Dayton, OH, where she went to work for Leland Motors during World War II. She worked as a Sales Clerk for Sears and Robuck when it opened in Dayton, OH but her greatest joy and longest career was that of a wife and mother. She enjoyed gardening with her husband and canning their hard work for their family. She was a member of Twin Creek Chapel in West Manchester and attended the Verona United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, Virginia is preceded in death by her brothers, David, Douglas, Clyde, Lee, Rubert, Herbert and Franklin Horseman.

Virginia is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis and Dee Spencer and J. Kevin and Billie Spencer; daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Mike Brobeck; brother, Ben T. Horseman; sisters-in-law, Marion Lee Horseman and Eldiva Horseman; grandchildren, Janey Brown, Noah Spencer, Tony Spencer, Andy Spencer, Dustin Spencer and Raw Attwaters; great grandchildren, Maylin Brown, Jesse Brown, Joel Brown, Ryland Wetzel, Liam Attwaters, Emma Attwaters and Terry Spencer; nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, March 2, 2017 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Barnes Funeral Home, 411 N. Commerce Street, Lewisburg, OH. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 3, 2017 at the funeral home. Entombment will be held in Royal Oak Memorial Gardens, Brookville, OH.
