Funeral: 11:30 a.m. Thursday in Greenwood Chapel. Entombment: private. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Greenwood Funeral Home.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Forest Hill Presbyterian Church, 5715 Forest Hill Drive, Fort Worth 76119; American Cancer Society; or Community Hospice of Burleson, 301 Medpark Circle, Burleson 76028.
Martha Ann Talkington Brooks was born Sept. 16, 1926, in Collin County. She was very active in the political arena as well as supportive of her husband with the Tarrant County Medical Auxiliary and the American Medical Association auxiliary for 53 years.
Martha, a native of Collin County, lived in Fort Worth and Tarrant County from 1951 to her death. She was the youngest of seven children born to Martha Ellen McKnight Talkington and Thomas Berkley Talkington.
Martha was an active member of the Forest Hill Presbyterian Church Women's Bible Study group.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Brooks, M.D.
