Thomas Benjamin Pipkin was born on October 14, 1886 in Georgia, U.S.A. to Benjamin John Pipkin (1859-1932)and Louisa (nee La Var) Pipkin (1863- ). He married Ruth Virginia Johnson on April 4, 1915 in Everton, Boone County, Arkansas. Thomas and Ruth have three children. Two children, James Harley and Benjamin Rex, were born in Arkansas. After moving West, the third child, Ila Mae, was born in 1925 in Oregon. In California, Thomas worked for and retired from the Standard Oil Company in Arroyo Grande, California. Thomas was a skilled carpenter and built and sold houses in the Bakersfield, California, area. Thomas spent his final years in Watsonville, California.
