Marie A. Gebhart, 84, entered into God's eternal care on Tuesday, May 26, 2015, at the Hanover Hospital. She was the wife of William H. Gebhart, to whom she was married 40 years. Born November 6, 1930, in Adams County, she was the daughter of the late Albert J. and Mary Jane (Gebhart) Noel. Marie was a member of Sacred Heart Basilica, Edgegrove, and was a 1949 graduate of Delone Catholic High School in McSherrystown. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a niece, Jo Ann Smith of New Oxford; and a nephew, Frank McDannell of Hanover. She was preceded in death by two siblings, Joseph Noel and Catherine McDannell. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 29, 2015, at Sacred Heart Basilica with the Rev. James E. Lease as celebrant. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
