Calvin was married to Berdella Martha Elisa Abplanalp (1898–1967) d/o Charles William Abplanalp (1867–1934) & Ida Katherine Huber (1875–1915) They were the parents of 2 daughters, Wanda and Shirley.

Services were held today in the United Church of Christ at Penntown, for Calvin W. Hutson, 81, of R.R.3, Sunman, who died Tuesday at the Margaret Mary Community Hospital in Batesville.
The Rev. Juanita Connerley officiated and burial was in the church cemetery.
Mr. Hutson was born May 3, 1903, in LaSalle County, Ill., the son of Conner and Rosa Bultman Hutson. He was a farmer and a member of the St. Paul United Church of Christ at Penntown and a member of the Ripley County Farm Bureau. He was married to Burdella Abplanalp on Dec. 23, 1925, and she preceded him in death July 1, 1967.
He is survived by two daughters: Shirley and Wanda Hutson; two brothers: Milton Hutson, Sunman, and Cecil Hutson, Richmond; and three sisters: Anna Brown, Cincinnati, Ida Hutson, College Corner, and Ruth Schocke, Hartford City.
