Katherine Duniway Murray
Katherine Duniway Murray died Oct. 3, 2004, at age 94.
Katherine Duniway was born May 21, 1910, in Portland, where she lived all her life. She graduated from Lincoln High School and Stanford University, and received a master's degree from the University of Madrid, two master's degrees from the Sorbonne in Paris, and a law degree from the Northwest College of Law. She worked in her husband's law office for 34 years. Beginning in the 1930s, she taught Spanish, drama and fencing at Lincoln High School for about 10 years. In 1950, she married William B; he died in 1982.
Survivors include her sons, William D. and Donald D.; and three grandchildren. Her daughter Kathy D. died in 1974.
