Cecelia Kay “C.K.” Townsend Woody, age 56 of Etowah, TN, passed away Sunday, May 24, 2015 at her residence. She was a native of Etowah and the daughter of the late Thoris Cecil Townsend and Betty Joan Townsend. She was proceded in death by her father listed above, and son, Travis Chad Woody.
CK was a loving wife, mother, and friend. She had a strong faith in God and was an honest, caring, giving person that loved with all her heart. CK never met an animal that she didn’t love. Her family is thankful that she is now with family and friends up above. CK will be missed and her memory will be cherished, but we know one day we will be together again.
Survivors include her husband; Randall Mack Woody of Etowah, TN, daughter and son in-law; Stephanie Ann and Matthew Riffey of Corryton, TN, granddaughters; Katie, Emma, and Brylee, sisters and brothers-in-law; Linda and Tom Prosser of Etowah, TN, Sandra Buckner of Etowah, TN, Steve and Mary Woody of Calhoun, TN, and Dan and Jo Woody of Etowah, TN, sister-in-law; Dale Sisson of Cleveland, TN, and lifelong friend; Anna Adams, several nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 27 2015, in the south chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 27, 2015 prior to the service.
