Betty J. Weidenhamer, 46, 1489 Terrawenda Drive, died Monday afternoon in Defiance Hospital shortly after she was taken there by the Defiance Rescue Squad.
She was born in Napoleon Aug. 15, 1928, the daughter of Harry and Luella (Heinrich) Plassman. She married Charles E. Weidenhamer who died Oct. 13, 1972.
She was employed at the Defiance Hospital as a respiratory therapist.
She is survived by a son, Jeffery C., 1489 Terrawenda; one daughter, Mrs. Richard (Roxanna) Karwatka, Fremont, Ind.; a brother, Robert C. Plassman, Bloomdale; and her mother, Mrs. Luella Plassman, 1489 Terrawenda Drive.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Willis; a sister, Wilma; and her father.
She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church.
Friends may call at the Lawson-Stick Funeral Home after 2 p.m. Wednesday. There will be a scriptural wake service there at 8 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral services will be held at St. John's Catholic Church at 11:30 a.m. Thursday. Rev. Donald Klaus officiating. Burial will be at Riverview Memory Gardens.
