A digression on the Adams Lineage of Luella Maude Adams.
The below is extracted & rearranged from Family Records of the Adams, Mills, & Humason Families, privately printed and distributed in 1921 by the author Franklin Burwell Mills, Chicago, Illinois.

This Books earliest reference to the Adams is on pg-13 to The Ten Children of Robert Adams (b. 1769 either in Pennsylvania or North Carolina, probably Pennsylvania, died 1817 near Paint Creek in the vicinity of
Chillicothe, Ohio) & Patience Hull (b. on Christmas Morning, 1776, within the sound of the cannon during the Battle of Trenton, New Jersey, her father and grandfather both serving in the Continental Army.

2. Eliza married John Killborn
3. Isaac Harvey married Melinda Stinsen
4. Vaugh Josiah married Mary Richey
5. Elijah married Lydia Louis Hunt
6. Robert James never married
7. Maria Lucinda married John Richey
8. Margaret Heath married Joseph Mills
9. unnamed son died young
10. Patience Ann married John Sherfey

Except Mary, who was born at Barbstown, Kentucky, all children were born near Chillicothe, Ross Co, Ohio.
Patience Hull Adams died April 22, 1852 at the Reed Farm, near Cross Rds in Clinton Co, Oh and was buried at
Spurgeons Graveyard, near were Reesville now stands. Her Grave has a monument.

Her spouse Robert Adams had seven brothers & sisters as follows: Alexander, John, James ( a Presbyterian Minister), Mary who married Judge Baird in Ohio, Margaret who married a Mr. Heath in Kentucky, Nancy who married a Mr. Pinkerton in Ohio and Eleanor who married a Mr. Smith. On the back of Page-11 there is a penned notation which is similar to
the handwriting of Nettie Adams Davidson (pg-49), reading. Two more children should be added to the list on the opposite page, namely Lydia who married Reuben McNamee and a daughter who married a Mr. Linn.
