Charles CARR dies at 74
BATAVIA -- Charles Lee CARR, 74, died at 7 a.m. Friday at his home near Batavia following an illness of several weeks.
Private family services are pending and burial will be in the Church of the Brethren Cemetery near Libertyville.
Charles Lee CARR was born Oct. 21, 1910, in Appanoose County. He was the son of the Rev. and Mrs. Glen CARR. He married Vivian MORLEY Nov. 25, 1931, in Batavia. He farmed most of his life south of Batavia and was a member of the Libertyville Church of the Brethren.
He is survived by his wife; also four sons, Kenneth and Charles CARR, both of Batavia; Wendall CARR, Milwaukee, Wis.; and Steven CARR, Nekoosa, Wisc.; two daughters, Martha GOEMAAT, Birmingham; Vera DENNEY, Batavia.
Other survivors are 17 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; one brother, Wayne CARR, Sebring, Fla.; and a sister, Mildred PHILLIPS, Lakeland, Fla.
Memorials may be made to the Faith Christian Academy in Fairfield.
