He was born March 15, 1936, in Co-Operative, Kentucky, to father Maynard Terry and mother Ruby (Slaven) Terry, who preceded him in death. He married Peggy (Hensley) Terry on May 8, 1971, and she preceded him in death on July 31, 2010.
He is survived by children, Steve Chester, Bill Terry, Cheryl Byrd, Cindy Slaven, Robin Terry and David Terry; many grandchildren; many great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by son, Donald Terry.
He retired in 1999 from Copeland Corporation after 47 years of faithful service as a machine repairman. He was a member of the Calvary United Baptist Church in Sidney. He loved hunting, fishing, playing Texas Hold'em at the Senior Center, gardening, and traveling.
Friends may call Monday, Oct. 22, 2018, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home.
Services will be held Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2018, at 10 a.m. at Adams Funeral Home with Pastor Dave Shepherd officiating. Interment will follow at Shelby Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wilson Hospice.
