A. Phyllis Olthoff was preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Etta (Ruppelt) Olthoff and her foster guardians, Will and Mary (Olthoff) Harms. She is survived by cousins and friends.
Phyllis was born in Chicago, IL and was raised in Emery, SD, where she graduated from high school in 1946. She attended Bethel College in St. Paul, MN, Sioux Falls College and the University of Minnesota. Phyllis was employed by the Minneapolis Public Library for 34 years as a children’s librarian. She was a faithful long-time member of the Faith Baptist Church of Minneapolis. Phyllis was an avid traveler, traveling to Hawaii, Japan, Israel and many countries in Europe.
