Catherine, Widow of Wm. Henry Tice, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. A. L. Horton, on Elm Street, on Wednesday in her 84th year.
Mrs. Tice was born in Cortlandtown, the daughter of Stephen Travis and Margaret Tuttle. She was married to Mr. Tice in 1850 and resided in the homestead in Furnace Woods until his death, eight years ago. Since that time she has spent the greater .............................. Peekskill.
She was a member for many years of the Furnace Woods Methodist Church and was known far and wide for her many virtues.
She is survived by three sons, Eugene L. Tice, Wilbur S. Tice, Delavan Tice, of this town, and four daughters, Mrs. Cornelius Lancaster, Mrs. Elvin W. Cornell, Mrs. Henry B. Hegeman and Mrs. Albert L. Horton. Also two brothers, Harrison Travis, of New York, and Lewis Travis, of Peekskill. The funeral services were held from her late home yesterday (Friday) afternoon, the Rev. Custer C. Rich, of the First Baptist Church, officiating. The interment was in the family plot at Hillside.
