Grooms which they had five children : (1) Captain Crumm Allen (1870--3-20-1948), (2) Gertrude Gertnor Allen (9-13-1871--4-9-1933), (3) Joseph Colson Allen (3-4-1873--10--1937), (4) Dred Byrd Allen (4-5-1875--2-17-1935) and (5) Govenor Colquit Allen (12-25-1876--1920)... by June of 1878 Mary had passed away ... She was not in the 1880 Census of Charlton County, that was a daughter (Mary) by the 1st wife... age 23 George was a widow ...
