K, 9th Texas Cavalry, at Blackjack Grove (now, Cumby).According to war records, Henry F. Young traveled 90 miles forinduction. The value of his horse was $120 and other equipment valued at $20.He was posted to Camp Reeves in 1861, and elected 3rd Lt. Mar 15, 1863. Lt. Henry F. Young was captured at Kinard's Bridge, Apr 2, 1863.As a POW, he was taken to Franklin, Tennessee. On Apr 13, 1863,he was sent to Fort Delaware by way of Nashville.
