Death of Verne A. Crane

Funeral services were held yesterday in the Rector funeral home in Geneseo for Verne A. Crane, a former Livonia resident, who died Sunday, Apr. 1, in Genesee, hospital, Rochester. Burial was in Temple Hill cemetery, Geneseo.

Mr. Crane was born in the town of Canadice, son of the late Belden B. and Delilah Steffy Crane, and had spent most of his life in this vicinity. For many years he was engaged in farming, moving from a farm in upper Lakeville about two years ago to Geneseo, where he had purchased the Silver Cup Coffee shoppe.

He is survived by his wife, Clara H. Crane; two daughters, Mrs. Marvin Bookman of Rochester and Miss Cella Crane of Geneseo; two sons, S/Sgt. Hilliard R. Crane on furlough from Germany and Pvt. Elliott, now with the armed forces in Germany; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Kuhn of Springwater, Mrs. Ray E. Coykendall of Rochester and Mrs. Edwin J. Sabin of Caledonia, and one brother, John M. Crane of Rochester.

Death of Verne A. Crane
