Eleanor was a happy, outgoing person who loved life. After attending Draughon’s Business Colleges, she was employed by the Fredericksburg Hospital and Clinic and National Farm Loan Assn. before being the first employer at Hill Country Memorial Hospital from where she retired in 1981. She was a charter member of the Hill Country Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.
Eleanor and Durstie enjoyed many years of hunting and fishing. After his death, she went on numerous guided tours and became active in her church belonging to the Women’s Society, Methodist Friends, Hermann Sons, and she volunteered at the Golden Hub. Her smiles and wit will be missed.
Survivors include her nieces and their husbands. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters Mary Neal Hansen and Louise King.
