When Joseph arrived in Vietnam 5 May 1968, he was assigned to Echo Company, 3rd Recon Battalion, 3rd Marine Division.
Sgt Biber was single and served his country for 2 years.
Survived by his parents, Frank Max Biber of 521 1st Street, Lompoc, California and Anna Florence Biber of 208 Colfax Road, Wayne, New Jersey, and his siblings, Frank Jr, Shirley, June and Michelle.
Posthumously awarded the Silver Star Medal.
