He was born May 2, 1916 in Marshall to William and Bertha
Clouse Bays.
He was a retired laborer.
Surviving are sons, Earl Bays Jr., Jerry Bays, Bobby Bays, and Mike Bays, all of Alton; daughters, Bonnie Jeffrey and
Cathy Jeffres, both of Jasonville, Barbara Bays and Myrna Bays, both of Terre Haute; 22 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
