Discharged October 29, 1913. Commissioned, March 16, 1916, 2nd Lieutenant, Coast Artillery Corps, assigned to the 8th Coast Defense Corps ( June 16, 1916 ). Promoted, September 5, 1917, 1st Lieutenant, and Captain, November 14, 1917. Transferred to the Ordnance Corps and discharged from Camp Meade, December 17, 1918.
