Funeral Service for Mrs. Ethel Richie, 93, of Wisner, LA will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, May 16th, 2015 in the chapel of Young’s Community Memorial Funeral Home-Winnsboro, LA with Pastor Fran Guy officiating and comments given by Ernest Reeves and Joe Curtis, interment to follow at Providence Memorial Cemetery.

Ms. Ethel was born on August 4th, 1921 in Swampers, LA to the union of Steward and Emma La Borde Morse, and passed away on May 14th, 2015 in Wisner, LA.

Ms. Ethel was a proud member of the American Rosie the Riveter Association in which she received National Active Membership in commemoration of her distinguished services as a Working Woman of World War II. During the early 1940s Ms. Ethel worked on the B-24 bombers in Dallas, TX, therefore this allowed her to put herself through beauty school.

She was preceded in death by her Husband, AC Richie; Parents, Steward and Emma Morse and by 10 Brothers and Sisters.

Survivors left to cherish her memory are her Daughters, Melba Pickering and husband Gene and Ann Rials and husband Mike; very special Friend, Betty Miller; Grandchildren, Joe Curtis and wife Brandy, Rhonda Kirl and husband Larry, Tiffany Rials and Ashley Ferrington and husband Eric; Great-Grandchildren, Carson, Addison, Travis, Braden, Charlotte, Lane, Logan, Azlyn and Alex. She is also survived by a host of Nieces, Nephews, Family and Friends.

Pallbearers will be Larry Kirl, Eric Ferrington, Mike Rials, Carson Curtis, Mopey Carroll, Lionel Hilburn.

Honorary Pallbearers will be her Great-Grandchildren.

The family will begin receiving friends for visitation on Saturday, May 16th, 2015 at 1:00 until the 3:00 service time at the Funeral Home. -
