Archibald "Archie" Ray Hays, 75, a retired mechanic, died Wednesday, Feb. 12, 1997, at a Fort Worth hospital.
Funeral: 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Greenwood Funeral Home. Burial: Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Archibald Ray Hays was born Dec. 28, 1921, in Eagle Lake. He held the Melchizedek Priesthood in the Latter Day Saints Church. He retired from Chemical Express after 13 1/2 years as a mechanic. He was preceded in death by a son, Robert Lloyd Hays, in 1969.
Survivors: Wife of 34 years, Dolores Hays of Fort Worth; children, Frances Bilo, David Hays, J.W. West, Marsha Cherry, Linda Hays Huhlbaugh, Raymond Hays, Sharon Garner, Linda Pate, Glenda Manuel and Gary Hays; sisters, Dorothy Horton, Florence Quinn, Phyllis Holliday; 19 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
