Joice O. Cox Sr., 88, a retired signal engineer for the Santa Fe Railway, died Sunday at a Fort Worth nursing home.
Funeral: 1:30 p.m. today at Lucas Funeral Home on North Sylvania.
Burial: Greenwood Memorial Park.
Mr. Cox was born in Cranfills Gap and moved to Fort Worth in 1965. He retired from Santa Fe Railway in 1971 after 48 years' service.
His wife, Mary Cox, died in 1982.
Memorials: American Cancer Society or a charity of choice.
Survivors: Son, Col. J. O. Cox Jr. of Fort Worth; two daughters, Joy Ann Rainey of Amarillo and Barbara Renaud of Texas City; three sisters, Lillie Vaughn of Cleburne, Ruby Holland of Double Oak and Sadie Reid of Fort Worth; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
