William Harvey Myers, one of the old and highly respected citizens of Brooks, passed away Sunday morning, after many months of suffering from a complicated stomach trouble, although he was confined to his bed less than one day. The funeral was held at his late residence Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, the services being conducted by Rev. E. B. Borst, pastor of the Brooks M. E. Church. Interment was made in the Brooks Cemetery. William Harvey Myers was born on the home farm near Brooks, August 5, 1858 and was aged 61 years, 4 months, and 23 days. He was united in marriage with Miss Jessie Siak in 1882 and to them ten children were born, three of whom, Elvie, Earl, and Cory preceded the father in death. The living are Elsie e. Stalder, Arnold e. Myers, Grace P. Mitchell, Flossie M. Goldsmith, Fern C. Goldsmith, Melvin M. Myers, and Ruth H. Myers; also four brothers, two sisters, and six grandchildren.
