Ray Morris, son of William Freeman and Emma Layton (Barrett) Morris, was a veteran of World War I and a charter member of the Oak Harbor, Washington VFW. In June 12, 1927 he married Mary E. Anderson in Tacoma, Washington. He was the father of Ray Mayben Morris (1931-2003), William Lee Morris and Margery Ellen Douglass (1929-1984).
