25 Nov 1779, George Reynolds listed as 1st Lt. in Leatherwood Company of Militia, in Henry County, VA.
In Oct 1780/1, George Reynolds also received 36.5 pounds of Bacon from Capt. Hairston while on the march to the assistance of General Greene.
In May 1782, George Reynolds was appointed Capt. of the company previously commanded by Peter Hairston.

There is a Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution which was named for him in Leaksville, Rockingham County, N.C. in 1928.
