Ethel B. “Betty” Yost, 91, of Lafayette, died at the Indiana Veterans Home in West Lafayette 11:07 PM Friday May 15, 2015 where she had been a patient for the past eleven months. Betty was born in Stockwell, IN July 23, 1923, the daughter of the late John M. and Mae Marie Carter Taylor and a 1941 graduate of Stockwell High School. She married Carl Yost, Jr. September 26, 1948 and he preceded her in death May 7, 1991. Betty was a former member of the Stockwell United Methodist Church, enjoyed bowling for 47 years, and playing euchre. Surviving are three sons, Samuel D. Taylor (wife Linda) of Lafayette, W. Robert “Bob” Yost (wife Judy) of Lafayette, Carl Lee Yost (wife Sally) of Grayling, MI and a sister Helen Louise “Ag” Farrell of Lafayette. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Rick and Todd Taylor and Keith and Kristen Yost, and by six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers, James, Charles “Sonny” and Nathan Taylor; and by two sisters, Ruth and Mary Taylor. Friends may call at the Hahn-Groeber Funeral Home, 1104 Columbia St., Lafayette from 9:30 AM until the service at 10:30 AM Tuesday, Rev. Dr. R.
